II. THEMATIC BACKGROUND
The Committee defined its purpose as encouraging health forestlands in Missouri. Then, as a way of organizing the work, they defined a vision of the future if that purpose were actually achieved. From that vision, several themes were defined which form the basis for the organization of this section. Those themes are:
