If you are a fifth-grade student in Missouri you can enter a slogan in the Earth Day Slogan Contest. The winning slogan will be the theme for Earth Day 2010 activities at the Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City. The theme for the slogan contest is "Earth Rocks!" The person who submits the winning entry will be honored during the Earth Day celebration on April 23, 2010. The winner also will receive a certificate for a $100 savings bond, donated by Central Bank in Jefferson City.
The contest is open to all Missouri fifth-graders. No purchase is necessary. The deadline for entry is Feb. 28, 2010. The winner will be announced in March. The winner's name also will be posted on the department's Earth Day pages on the Web.

Missouri will hold its Earth Day celebration on the Capitol grounds in Jefferson City from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2010.
