Division of Energy
Missouri Energy Stakeholder Process
The Division of Energy began an Energy Stakeholder Process to elicit discussion on complex energy issues, trends, opportunities and challenges for the State of Missouri.
Participants in the Energy Stakeholder Process worked together with the division’s project facilitator, The Cadmus Group, to identify and prioritize key implementable recommendations for where the Division of Energy should focus its efforts and expend its resources post ARRA. The results of the stakeholder process will be used to develop an Agenda for Action for the Division of Energy that will inform the division’s strategic planning, budget planning and resource allocation decisions.
A small ‘core group’ approach was implemented to provide an in-depth review and analysis of complex energy issues and how the Division of Energy might promote the best energy choices for Missourians. The division held three one-day meetings in Rolla, St. Louis and Kansas City. There was a public stakeholder meeting held in Columbia.
Process Goals:
- Maintaining competitive energy costs for Missourians.
- Achieving greater energy security through energy choices.
- Promoting a clean, green economy.
- Achieving cost-effective energy efficiency savings.
