Workgroup Purpose

The Kansas City Ozone Maintenance Plan Technical Workgroup was created as a sub-group of the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) Air Quality Forum (AQF) to discuss and develop contingency control measures for the 2007 Kansas City 8-Hour Ozone Maintenance Plan. The workgroup is made up of representatives from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources' Air Pollution Control Program (APCP), Kansas Department of Health and the Environment, local governments and other interested parties. Meetings and conference calls have been held on an informal basis to keep members informed as to the contingency control measures being considered by the states for inclusion in the Maintenance Plan.
