NOTICE OF CESSATION OF DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS

For the time being, the department has decided to halt efforts to develop guidance provisions specifically related to the protection of water lines and other utilities. Discussions subsequent to the department's development of initial, draft water line protection provisions indicate that time and resources beyond that currently available to the department would be required to develop a final set of provisions. The department will retain information developed and obtained thus far, including stakeholder comments received. Both will be called on at a later date when the department decides to restart efforts to develop appropriate water line protection provisions. Stakeholders will be notified of the department's intentions before the effort is restarted.

If you have questions or comments regarding this matter, or if you would like copies of the information collected to-date, please contact Ron Sheeley, Ken Koon, or Laura Luther of the department's Tanks Section.
