District Roll Call

Chairman Mr. Tim Smith called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. Roll was called; there was a quorum.

Approval of June Agenda

A motion to approve the June Agenda was made. Mr. Zeb Steeby seconded the motion. The motion carried.

Approval of May Meeting Summary

A motion to approve the May Summary was made. Mr. Bud Hayes seconded the motion. The motion carried.

Planners Report

No Planners Meeting was held June 6.

Planning and Admin Update

Mr. Dennis Hansen provided information to the board on the following issues:

Informed the group about the status of the performance audits.
Working on finalizing the outstanding audits and having exit conferences.
Explained how SAM II will be shut down for a period at the end of the month to get ready for the next fiscal year.

Directors Report

Mr. Jim Hull provided information to the board on the following issues:

Passed out copies of SB 54 explained the solid waste legislative changes in detail and then answered questions.
Governor may sign SB 54 at the Missouri Waste Control Coalition (MWCC) conference.
Assessment inventories were due on June 1st. There are several still overdue
Staples announced they will begin accepting any computers etc, for only $10.00 (mouse and keyboards will be free.
E-Scrap Stakeholders group will give their report to the Dept. Director on June 29th, and then they will meet with the Hazardous Waste Program and Solid Waste Advisory Board (SWAB) to present the report.
Discussed the recent Supreme Court ruling on flow control.
Waiting on Dept. approval to hire a new Section Chief in the Resource Planning section.

New Business

Nomination of officers. Forms have been sent out and are due back to the program by June 18th.
Tim is unable to serve again as president. Harry is still eligible for vice president.
MWCC raffle tickets are still on sale.
