Andrew Co-Youth Conservation Workshop

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The combined funds for this project will be used for a Youth Conservation Workshop Field Day project to teach fourth grade children about conservation and nonpoint source pollution. Information about the entertainer and his message are attached. The SWCDs have asked him to tailor his presentation to local issues by addressing wetlands; erosion prevention; household hazardous waste; stormwater runoff; recycling, reducing and reusing; water quality in general; adopting streams; and water quality awareness.

PRODUCTS AND OBJECTIVES

Increase awareness in teachers, students, and parents to reduce pollution, enhance resources for future use. Provide financial assistance to 45 schools that attend the event. Encourage teachers to incorporate environmental educational material in the teaching.
