Project Description:

Springfield Discovery Center Interactive Watershed Exhibit

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This grant will support the construction and placement of an interactive water quality exhibit in the Springfield Discovery Center located at 438 St. Louis Street in Springfield, Missouri. The hands-on exhibit will concentrate on the many land uses that can impact the unique and pristine water quality of the Ozarks. The exhibit will include interactive elements striving for education and information retention. The goal of this project is to demonstrate the importance of our everyday decision-making and living within a sensitive watershed.

OBJECTIVES

To educate the local community about the uniqueness and vulnerability of Springfield's public drinking water supply and the associated land use practices.

PRODUCTS

An interactive educational water quality exhibit for the Greene County public.
