The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, approved the TMDL document for the Missouri River, WBIDs 0226, 0356, 0701 and 1604, across 25 counties, Atchison to St. Louis counties.

- Chlordane.
- Polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs.
To address the listed pollutants, TMDLs were calculated for:

- Comments and responses - The department received 6 comments during the first public notice period, which was from June 9 to July 9, 2006. As a result of these comments, the document underwent a second public notice, from Aug. 30 to Sept. 29, 2006. No additional comments were received.
