The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, approved a permit-in-lieu of a Total Maximum Daily Load, or PIL, for Walnut Creek, WBID 1339, Cedar County. 

303(d)-listed pollutants:

• Biochemical oxygen demand.
• Volatile suspended solids.

To address the listed pollutants, permit limits were adjusted for:

• 5-day biochemical oxygen demand.
• Total suspended solids.
