Land Survey Program
Geographic Reference System
The Missouri Geographic Reference System is a network of accurately positioned Horizontal and Vertical control monuments (latitude, longitude, elevation and state plane coordinates) used by land surveyors, engineers, cartographers and others who have a need to locate positions on, below or above the surface of the earth.
The Simple Map Viewer
configuration for the Missouri Geographic Reference System (control points) is now in our production environment and available to the public.
To access the Geographic Reference System stations by County, click on the map below. Each county map has a graphical representation of the position of the Horizontal and Vertical Control Stations found in the county. The data on these maps will no longer be updated and soon, the simple map viewer will be our single source for GRS data.
