Land Survey Program
Land Survey Records Repository
The development of a central repository for all land survey documents began in the early 1970's. The repository now contains approximately two million documents in microfilm form. Land Survey documents play an extremely important part in the determination of land boundaries. Private land surveyors, title insurers, recorders, attorneys, real estate professionals, and landowners must rely on these documents. Land survey documents from the repository are provided to the public in ever increasing numbers.

Standards and Forms
The department has changed all fill-in forms to PDF fill-in. You will be able to save and reuse these PDF forms. However, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 or higher to save the PDF fill-in form. Also, at this time the department does not accept digital signatures. If your Acrobat Reader prompts you to use one, we ask that you don't.
Fill-in forms will accept only a limited amount of information in each individual box. If you need to insert more information than the form will accept, please use a supplemental sheet.
