Joe Pye Weed
Eupatorium purpureum
Joe Pye weed is a native plant with a height of 5 to 7 feet. It blooms from July to September with tiny, vanilla-scented, dull pinkish-purple flowers. The flowers are very attractive to butterflies and give way to attractive seed heads that last well into winter.
