Amorpha canescens
Lead plant is a native plant that reaches a height of 2 to 3 feet. It blooms from July to September with purple to blue flowers that attract butterflies. The common name of lead plant refers to the once-held belief that the plant was an indicator of the presence of lead in the ground. Is often called false indigo.
