Orchard Grass
Dactylis glomerata

Orchard grass, also known as cock's-foot, was introduced to North America from Europe around 1760 and is now naturalized. The plant reaches a height of 2 to 4 feet. The plant flowers from May to June with pale green to purplish spikes. When flowering, the pollen of orchard grass can cause hay fever symptoms. Orchard grass reproduces from seed and will spread aggressively.
