Ox-Eye Daisy
Leucanthemum vulgare

Ox-eye daisy is a non-native plant and reaches a height of 1 to 3 feet. It blooms from May to August. The blooms are white rays with a yellow center disk and they attract butterflies. The common name is in reference to the flower's large flattened center disk, which resembles the eye of an ox. Seed the ox-eye daisy are sometimes sold as "May queen," however the original and true ox-eye daisy is reportedly sterile. Plants will spread in the garden by rhizomes.
