Purple Prairie Clover
Dalea purpurea
Purple prairie clover is a native plant reaching a height of 1 to 3 feet. The plant produces tiny purple flowers in dense, cone-like heads from June to August. It is a nitrogen-fixing plant that is an important component of Midwestern prairie restorations.
