Stiff Goldenrod
Solidago rigida

Stiff goldenrod is a native plant that reaches a height of 3 to 5 feet. Flowers bloom from August to September. The blooms are tiny, bright yellow, daisy-like flowers arranged in dense flat-topped clusters. Goldenrods have been wrongfully accused of causing hay fever, which is actually an allergic reaction to wind-borne pollen from other plants such as ragweed. Stiff golenrod is attractive to bees and butterflies.
