Sweet Gum
Liquidambar styraciflua
Sweet gum is a non-native tree reaching a height of 60 to 70 feet. The tree has non-showy flowers in small, greenish clusters from April to May. Foliage turns yellow to burgundy in fall. The tree does not set fruit but produces the infamous gum balls.
