Trumpet Vine
Campsis radicans

Trumpet vine is a native vine and can reach a height of 25 to 40 feet. The plant blooms in July with red trumpet-shaped flowers (up to 3 inches" long) appearing throughout the summer. Trumpet vine (also commonly called trumpet creeper) is a woody, clinging vine which attaches itself to structures and climbs by aerial rootlets. Commonly called cow-itch vine because some people experience skin redness and itching after coming in contact with the leaves.
