Women's History Poster - May 2001
On May 5, 2001, State Rep. Sharon Sanders-Brooks (left) and State Park Ranger Robert Mesa presented a beautiful framed poster to Cris Medina (center), executive director of the Guadalupe Center during Cinco de Mayo ceremonies in Kansas City. The poster, produced by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and its Diversity Conference Committee, featured five women from different ethnic backgrounds and summarized their achievements and respective contributions to society. Ranger Mesa is a member of the department's Diversity Conference Committee and the Multicultural Affairs Committee.
