Meeting called to order at 1:00 p.m.

Verifying quorum. Minutes read – postponed.

No subcommittee reports.

Tom Judge has stepped down as EAC and MAC representative. The new EAC member is Monica Chin. There is an open meeting of EAC on January 9, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. in Parks Conference Room at East Elm.

We are to let Monica know about the location for Diversity Conference Subcommittee meeting on January 15.

We have a theme, but would like to wait until the governor has his space. Possible themes are Expedition of diversity, Exploring diversity, Discovering diversity. MAC still needs a location for diversity conference.

Jeff’s father passed away.

Diversity Festival – ask the cost $288 and $75 for electricity (?) to see if they would support. As of right now, MAC does not have the funds to support this function.

February 5 is next MAC meeting.

Next Diversity Conference Subcommittee meeting scheduled for January 16, 2003 at 10:00 a.m.

January 15 – Governor Holden – State of State Address

Director Mahfood – State of Department Address

January 16 – Teleconference – maybe in morning (10:00 a.m.?) regarding Diversity Conference 2003.
