Valerie Johnson's one-day Diversity Training will be held upstairs behind the Ramada Inn registration desk. The specific room will be determined in March. Chair, Kevin Johnson said the Diversity Conference would be held downstairs and in the other meeting rooms that are available at the Ramada Inn.
In the registration room, it might be possible to set up four 1' X 8" tables for the people to get their registration packets and name tags.
The equipment that divisions need to supply includes flip charts, audiovisual equipment, flip chart holders and electrical cords.
A quorum was noted at 2:00 p.m
The next MAC meeting will be held at the Ramada Inn on March 5, 2002.
On March 14, 2002, a special meeting for conference assistants, registration booth workers and people that will be serving in an official capacity at the diversity conference will meet at the Ramada Inn lobby. If you are a conference assistant or helping in registration please contact Kevin Johnson as soon as possible.
Mr. Johnson wanted Mr Jaquess to send out via e-mail the proposed bylaws change and amendment. In the e-mail, have the recipients vote either "yea" or "nay".
In budget items, G. Lawson Penny went over budget by $25.00 on the Multi-Cultural Opportunity Festival 2001 in Springfield.
Mr. Johnson wanted everyone that could to come and participate in the "3rd Annual Taste of Soul and Trivia Contest" held in Jefferson City on February 28, 2002.
Mr. Johnson will get Mr. Jaquess the Calendar Creator Version 7.0 software so that he can start working on the 2003 MAC calendar.
