Byron Murray called meeting to order at 1:06 p.m. Quorum verified. Monica Chin and Jason House introduced as visitors and new members. Kevin explained the Management Plan.

Diversity Conference Subcommittee (DCS) met last Friday, August 30, 2002. Will meet again within ten days. DCS ready to start planning 2003 conference, tentatively scheduled for March 2003. The following is a list of issue/action items:

Budget issues may limit one to two-day conference.
Ramada, Lincoln and Capitol Plaza are only three places big enough.
Pick facilitators that do the sessions, brainstorm about keynote speakers.
MAC Budget: division budgets affect how many people allowed to go from each program/division.

Work is processing on SOP, including the Women's Poster as part of SOP.

Policy Review Subcommittee. E-mail from Tom Judge. Review #5015: Active Culturally Diverse Workforce. #2050: Whistle Blowers. Comments incorporated and sent up for review starting October 1, 2002; responses directed to Dick Gaffney.

Budget: Steve Wyatt. 15% cut, actual 15% = total budget FY02 and proposed FY03.

New Business: Jeff Jaquess to get in contact with Luci Bryan regarding changing MAC logo.

Interview Training for MAC Members. Circulate MAC members that participate on interview panels.

Steve suggested table budget for now in order to get on Executive Staff September 20th agenda. E-mail budget deadline back to Steve, September 18th before Executive Staff on 20th.

Conference Awards and Gifts - Giveaways for Conferences and Expo's - Lewis and Clark - get books to give away; get parks merchandise from DSP.
