Birthday open house to be held Feb. 15 at Felix Valle House State Historic Site

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., – Felix Vallé House State Historic Site in Ste. Genevieve will celebrate Felix Vallé’s birthday on Sunday, Feb. 15, with an open house featuring a lecture. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the event will be held from noon until 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Bob Mueller, local historian, will present a program at 1 p.m. entitled “Tales of Romance in 18th Century Ste. Genevieve.” The program includes facts, tales and stories of love and marriage in historic Ste. Genevieve.
Felix Vallé, his wife Odile and their son occupied the home, which is now part of Felix Vallé House State Historic Site, for much of the 19th century.
