Department offers residents of Old Monroe opportunity to voice comments on treatment plant

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, -- The residents of Old Monroe in Lincoln County will have the opportunity to provide input regarding a proposed wastewater treatment plant in their community at a meeting April 30.
The Department of Natural Resources is holding the meeting to allow public input into a proposed wastewater treatment plant that would serve the Bluffs of Old Monroe, a residential development in the community.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the American Legion Hall, Fifth and Elm streets, Old Monroe.
The Bluffs of Old Monroe is located on the west side of Highway 79 near Old Monroe. The proposed facility incorporates an extended aeration treatment system capable of treating 200,000 gallons per day of domestic sewage, which would be treated, disinfected and discharged into an unnamed tributary of the Cuivre River.
