Public invited to learn more about a proposed utility waste landfill for AmerenUE near Labadie in Franklin County

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, April 27, 2009 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will host a public awareness session at 7 p.m. on April 28 at the Labadie Elementary School Gymnasium located at 2749 Highway T in Labadie.

The AmerenUE -- Labadie Power plant has received approval to conduct a site investigation study to determine if its facility is suitable to construct a utility waste landfill in Franklin County. Representatives from the Department and AmerenUE will be available to answer questions from residents regarding the application review process and the approximate timeline for the permitting process.
