Public invited to share ideas during an informational meeting regarding Watkins Woolen Mill State Park and State Historic Site

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., -- In an effort to ensure that the public has an opportunity to provide input regarding services provided in state parks and historic sites, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting on Friday, July 10, at Watkins Woolen Mill State Park and State Historic Site near Lawson. The informational meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the site's visitor center and is open to the public.
Recent accomplishments at the park and future plans will be highlighted during the informational meeting, including the addition of a new campground check station, a new storage area for campfire wood and proposed improvements to the bicycle and walking trail. Visitors are invited to share comments on the site's services and operations.
Watkins Woolen Mill State Park and State Historic Site is located off Interstate 35, seven miles east of Kearney, off Highway 92 on Highway RA.
