JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- In an effort to ensure that the public has an opportunity to provide input regarding services in state parks and historic sites, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site near Sedalia. The informational meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the site's picnic shelter and is open to the public.
Recent accomplishments and future plans at the site will be highlighted during the informational meeting. These include the exterior restoration of the historic farmhouse and proposed improvements to drainage around the lodge. Based on previous input from the public, a three-mile hiking/mountain biking trail was built by volunteers. Visitors are invited to share comments on the site's services and operations.
Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site is located seven miles north of Sedalia, off Highway 65 on Bothwell State Park Road in Pettis County.
