JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- In an effort to ensure that the public has an opportunity to provide input regarding services in state parks and historic sites, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting on Sunday, Oct 25, at Meramec State Park near Sullivan. The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. in the park's visitor center and is open to the public.
Recent accomplishments at the park and future plans will be highlighted during the informational meeting. Based partially on previous comments and input from the public, the Department has made major improvements including construction of a new accessible duplex cabin as well as renovation of a second accessible family cabin, installation of new television service at the motel and trail repairs. Visitors are invited to share comments on the park's services and operations.
To reach Meramec State Park, take exit 226 off Interstate 44 at Sullivan. Travel south on Highway 185 three miles and the park entrance and visitor center are on the right.
