Informational meeting planned May 25 at Big Oak Tree State Park

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., MAY 19, 2010 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 25, at the East Prairie Nutritional Center located at 304 East Main Street in East Prairie. The informational meeting about both Big Oak Tree State Park and Towosahgy State Historic Site will be begin at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
Recent accomplishments and future plans at the park and site will be highlighted during the informational meeting. Topics will include management plans, research projects, State Parks Youth Corps, programming and other issues that might affect the park and its management. Visitors are invited to share comments on Big Oak Tree State Park and Towosahgy State Historic Site services and operations.
This informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that citizens have input on facilities and services offered in state parks and historic sites.
