Informational meeting planned Sept. 10 for Finger Lakes State Park

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., SEPT. 3, 2010 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an informational meeting Friday, Sept. 10, to discuss issues related to Finger Lakes State Park near Columbia. The meeting will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Finger Lakes State Park office.
Representatives from the park will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the current status of the park. The public is invited to share comments about the park and its services.
The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure the public has input on services and facilities provided in state parks and historic sites.
Finger Lakes State Park is located seven miles north of Columbia off U.S. Highway 63.
