Informational meeting planned Dec. 9 for Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, NOV. 29, 2010 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting on Thursday, Dec. 9 at Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site in Lamar. The discussion also will include issues related to the Osage Village and Battle of Carthage state historic sites in southwest Missouri. The meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the historic sites’ office and the public is invited to attend.
At the meeting, staff will highlight accomplishments, special events, attendance and other site issues for the past year for all three sites. The public is invited to give suggestions and staff will be available to answer any questions.
The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure the public has input on services and facilities offered in state parks and historic sites.
Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site is located at 1009 Truman in Lamar.
