Missouri State Parks will hold a public meeting Saturday, April 7 to discuss long range conceptual development plans related to Arrow Rock State Historic Site and Sappington Cemetery State Historic Site in Saline County and Boone’s Lick State Historic Site in Howard County. The meeting will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Arrow Rock Visitor Center.

The presentation will focus on public comments received at a previous meeting and input received through a spring 2011 online forum. Representatives from Missouri State Parks will provide information about the development plans and answer questions. The public is invited to share comments about the parks and the future plans. Comments will be accepted on line from April 7 through 21, 2012 at mostateparks.com/page/55017/historic-site-plans.

The meeting will be held in conjunction with the Friends of Arrow Rock’s “First Saturday Lection Series” that will feature a lecture by historian Jim Denny at 10:00 on the Battle of Glasgow in the audio visual room.
This meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure the public has input on services and facilities in state parks and historic sites.
