Missouri State Parks hosts informational meeting Nov. 8 at Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site

The public is invited to attend an informational meeting Nov. 8 to discuss issues related to Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site in Lamar. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the meeting will be held at noon in the site’s office.
Site staff will give a brief presentation about progress at the historic site and discuss future plans. Staff will also give a brief overview of the Battle of Carthage and the Osage Village state historic sites, which are also administered by staff. Visitors are invited to ask questions and share comments on all three historic sites.
The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by Missouri State Parks to ensure the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites. People requiring special services or accommodations to attend the meeting can call the site directly at 417-682-2279.
