Bring your ideas to an informational meeting at Crowder State Park May 18

The public is invited to bring their ideas to an informational meeting on Saturday, May 18 at Crowder State Park near Trenton. The informational meeting will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at Shelter House #3. This annual meeting will be held during the park’s National Kids to Parks Day special event.
Activities taking place during the event include a 5K and 8K Family Fun Trail Run/Walk starting at 8 a.m., a community picnic and games from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and guided nature hikes to the Thompson River starting at 1 p.m.
The informational meeting will include discussion on recent accomplishments at the park and future plans. Visitors are invited to share comments on Crowder State Park’s services and operations. Based partially on previous comments and input from the public, Missouri State Parks has constructed a new campground lagoon.
This informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the Missouri State Parks to ensure citizens have input on facilities and services offered in state parks and historic sites.
Crowder State Park is located west of Trenton off Highway 6. People requiring special services or accommodations to attend the meeting can make arrangements by calling the park at 660-359-6473.
