Jefferson City, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has awarded Sunrise Beach grant and loan funding totaling $2.5 million to construct a new wastewater treatment facility and sewer collection system.

The department awarded the city a $1.9 million grant and a $629,000 low-interest loan to construct a low pressure pipe collection system using grinder pumps and a new extended aeration mechanical plant wastewater treatment facility.
