Informational meeting for Thomas Hart Benton Home and Studio State Historic Site April 13

Jefferson City, Mo. - The public is invited to bring their ideas to an informational meeting on Sunday, April 13 to discuss Thomas Hart Benton Home and Studio State Historic Site in Kansas City. The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. at the home.
Site staff will be on hand to discuss recent changes at the Benton Home and plans for future project. An emphasis during the meeting will be a summary of events taking place around the city to celebrate Benton’s 125th birthday. Visitors are invited to share comments and suggestions about services and operations. Guided tours of the home and studio will be available before and after the meeting. This informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by Missouri State Parks to ensure citizens have input regarding the facilities and services offered in state parks and historic sites.

Thomas Hart Benton was born 125 years ago on April 15, 1889 in Neosho. Throughout 2014, events honoring the painter will occur throughout Kansas City.

Thomas Hart Benton Home and Studio State Historic Site is located at 3616 Belleview in Kansas City.
