Solve a mystery at Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site Sept. 27

Jefferson City, Mo. - Guests can follow the clues to solve a mystery at Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site on Saturday, Sept. 27. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the scenario takes place in 1929 when Mr. John Bothwell has just signed his last will and testament. He has gathered his closest friends and family for a private gathering. They are enjoying the quiet evening when a crime is discovered.

Through a series of clues and investigation, while representing different characters in the game, participants will spend the evening in the lodge accounting for their own whereabouts as they solve the crime of Bothwell Lodge.
Multiple games will be played over the course of the evening with a new game beginning at half-hour intervals. The first game starts at 5 p.m. and can take up to an hour to complete. Due to the length of the game and level of difficulty, it is recommended that participants be 9 years of age and older.

A limited number of tickets for this event are available and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for youth. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site at 660-827-0510 prior to September 26.

Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site is located seven miles north of Sedalia on U.S. Highway 65. For more information on Missouri state parks and historic sites, visit mostateparks.com. Missouri State Parks is a division of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
