Jefferson City, Mo. - Visitors are invited to enjoy the “Green Living and Art Fair,” at Onondaga Cave State Park near Leasburg on Saturday, Sept. 28. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, this educational event will take place near the park’s visitor center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Displays will include the new Electric Bigfoot Monster Truck and green products and services. Visitors will also be able to sample solar-cooked food, participate in arts and crafts projects and see the offerings of local crafters and artists. The event will also include a pet adoption event by the Tri-County Humane Society.
A visit to Onondaga Cave State Park is also a great opportunity to log miles as a part of the Governor’s 100 Missouri Miles Challenge. To celebrate Missouri’s distinction as the “Best Trails State” by American Trails and to encourage Missourians to enjoy the outdoors, Governor Jay Nixon and First Lady Georganne Nixon are inviting Missourians to join them in completing 100 Missouri Miles of outdoor physical activity by the end of the year.
