JEFFERSON CITY, MO, NOV. 3, 2004 - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will host an informational meeting on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Van Meter State Park near Miami. The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. in the park's visitor center and the public is invited.
Staff from the park will present an overview of past, present and future projects at the park. The public is invited to offer input on the operation of the park and ask questions.
The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.
Van Meter State Park is located 12 miles northwest of Marshall on Highway 122.
