JEFFERSON CITY, MO, NOV. 3, 2004 - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an open house from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Fort Davidson State Historic Site in Pilot Knob. The plan that will direct the site's future development will be available to view at the open house and until Dec. 15. The plan also will be available online at www.mostateparks.com.

Staff from the site and the department's Division of State Parks will be on hand to discuss the plan and answer questions. The conceptual development plan was developed following two public meetings to receive citizen input. Visitors are invited to share comments on the plan and the site.

The open house and review of plans are part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on facilities and services offered in state parks and historic sites.

Fort Davidson State Historic Site is located in Pilot Knob, three miles south on Highway 21 on Highway V. It is one of 83 state parks and historic sites operated by the Department of Natural Resources.
