MISSOURI AIR CONSERVATION COMMISSION HOSTS
PUBLIC MEETING OCT. 27 IN JEFFERSON CITY

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 14, 2005 -- The Missouri Air Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting at 9 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Governor's Office Building, Room 450, 200 Madison St., Jefferson City.

At this meeting, the commission will hold a public hearing on a resolution by the Missouri Air Conservation Commission. The Air Pollution Control Program will present a resolution for consideration by the commission regarding an amendment to the Permit-By-Rule Rule, 10 CSR 10-6.062. The amendment would provide for a brief review period before the program issues a Permit by Rule. The intent of this resolution is to document that the state of Missouri will amend the rule in order to secure approval of the state implementation plan submittal to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 7.

The department requests people intending to give verbal presentations also provide a written copy of their testimony to the commission secretary at the time of the public hearing. The department also will accept written comments for the record until 5 p.m. on Nov. 3. Rule proposals considered at this hearing may be adopted by the Missouri Air Conservation Commission as provided for under authority of 643.050, RSMo.
