HOSTS PUBLIC MEETING MARCH 30 IN JEFFERSON CITY

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 28, 2006 -- The Missouri Air Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting at 9 a.m. on March 30, at the Elm Street Conference Center, 1738 E. Elm St., Lower Level, Roaring River Conference Room, Jefferson City.

At this meeting, the commission will hear routine updates from the Air Pollution Control Program, as well as updates on several more specific issues. The program will give a presentation on the status of the St. Louis Ozone and Fine Particulate Matter State Implementation Plan (SIP) Development.

The commission will also hear updates on MOARK and Renewable Environmental Solutions (RES). The commission will hear from the department and MOARK regarding the odor issues at their 7 Farms facility in Newton County. The program and the Attorney General's Office will also provide the commission with an update on RES's appeal of the Cease and Desist Order issued to the company by the department on Dec. 29.
