JEFFERSON CITY, MO, NOV. 29, 2006 -- Beginning Dec. 4, 2006, Felix Vallé House State Historic Site in Ste. Genevieve will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays through February 2007, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources announced today. In previous years the historic site was closed only on Mondays during the winter months.

"The extra day off will allow staff more time to research off-site archives," said Jim Baker, site administrator. From December through February, the historic site will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday (with the exception of Christmas and New Year's days). Tours are available during these times.

For more information, contact the historic site at 573-883-7102 or the Department of Natural Resources toll free at 800-334-6946 (voice) or 800-379-2419 (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf).
