WHAT: Meeting of the Interdepartmental Coordination Council for Water Quality.

WHY: The Interdepartmental Coordination Council for Water Quality, which by executive order is chaired by the Department of Natural Resources representative, was formed by Gov. Matt Blunt to address eight key issues concerning water quality and availability. The council is tasked with coordinating the state's efforts in the following areas: water resource protection, monitoring and improvement; clean water, drinking water safety; wastewater and runoff; well construction and design; flood and drought management; interstate river issues; dam safety; and overall state water planning. On the agenda for this meeting is reviewing agency's water related responsibilities, discussing issues and gaps, and taking action to address those issues and gaps.
