JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JUNE 6, 2007 -- Today, Missouri Department of Natural Resources Director Doyle Childers again offered to share evidence collected by his staff with the Public Service Commission commissioners, including evidence that Ameren moved safety probes immediately after the Taum Sauk Reservoir collapse in December 2005.
"We first presented this information to PSC staff in March," said Childers. "We shared the results of our investigation months ago with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Missouri Highway Patrol, the PSC and the Attorney General."
Childers said the presentation on the department's findings is public record and offered to share it with the PSC in a public meeting or one-on-one with the individual commissioners. "We've put everything forward to the appropriate agencies," said Childers. "We want to resolve this and move forward."
The department hopes to have Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park fully operational in 2008.
