MISSOURI AIR CONSERVATION COMMISSION HOSTS PUBLIC MEETING MARCH 27 IN MARYVILLE

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 21, 2008 -- The Missouri Air Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting at 9 a.m. on March 27 at the J.W. Jones Student Union on the 3rd floor at 800 University Drive, Maryville.
At this meeting, the commission will hear routine reports from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources staff regarding permits, operations and enforcement actions. An update on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's revised ozone standard and how it will affect Missouri counties will also be presented. There are no items for public hearing or adoption.
In addition, the commission also intends to continue its discussions on Missouri's odor regulations. The commission has spent considerable time and heard many comments on this issue and will keep in mind the many views of the odor workgroup participants and Missouri citizens as they work toward a solution. The workgroup was composed of representatives from industry, environmental groups, regulatory agencies and other interested parties.
