JEFFERSON CITY, MO., APRIL 11, 2008 -- Enjoy the feel and colors of spring on a wildflower walk on Saturday, April 26, at Onondaga Cave State Park near Leasburg. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the walk begina at 10 a.m. It is free and open to the public.
A park naturalist will guide you down the Blue Heron Trail to identify wildflowers. During the walk, you will learn about medicinal and food uses for wildflowers. Feel free to ask questions. Meet in the park's visitor center for a short talk before the walk. Blue Heron Trail is approximately one mile long, is flat and has a gravel surface.
Onondaga Cave State Park is located seven miles southeast of the Leasburg exit off of Interstate 44 on Highway H.
