Clarksville, Missouri, is one of the most successful of the Main Street programs initiated under legislation passed in 1989 by the Missouri General Assembly. All of its Main Street buildings are currently occupied. Tourists flock to town in December to see the bald eagles and year-round to visit the craftspeople who have set up shop there.
