DNR Quick Facts
Through the department's 24-hour emergency line and other public interfaces, the Department’s Environmental Emergency Response (EER) Section renders technical assistance on how to appropriately and safely handle all types of environmental emergencies from hazardous waste spills to tanker truck accidents involving molasses.
The EER Section staff includes hazardous material technicians in Jefferson City, St. Louis, Poplar Bluff, Kansas City, Macon and Springfield who respond when an environmental emergency occurs.
